In May 2020, I gave a webinar on using Git for version control in an academic setting, focusing on the basics of creating a repository, creating commits, branching, and merging, from the command line. In the future I plan to give a follow-on workshop for collaborating on code using GitHub. The webinar is available on YouTube. Slides and demo data are also available.
